Smooth Salsa Dips

Dips are one of the few things that women enjoy when dancing Salsa.  When done well, they are intoxicating.  Here are a few tips to help you in your Salsa Dance Dips;

• Know your surrounding.  Always make sure you have ample space when dipping your partner.  Keep an eye open for other Salsa dancers, tables and the wait stuff
• Listen to the music.  You do not want to throw in a dip in the middle a chorus.  Listen to the cues and hits in Salsa Music, then prepare to execute
• Watch your partner.  Don’t dip her when they are in the middle of their Salsa shines or styling, be patient, you will get your opportunity
• This is a no no “Don’t Give Her A Whip Lash”.  I have heard of many storeis of women visiting their chiropractor following an amazing night of Salsa Dancing.  If your partner has never been dipped before, introduce that to her gently.  
• Lastly for the ladies, a couple of things.  Even though you have seen an amazing dip from Dancing with the Start the night before, not many leaders can execute that.  Please wait for the guys to initiate the dip.  Also, hold your own weight as much as you can, don’t throw yourselves to the guys.  We will try catching you but you also have to be forgiving to our backs
